This document provides a user manual for managing printing devices within the system. It covers the "Printing Devices" tab within the "Printing Configuration" module and the process of adding new printers.

Accessing the Module

1. Log in to the system with your credentials.
2. Access the "Printing" module and select the "Printers" tab.
3. Within the “Printers” tab, select “PRINTING DEVICES”.

Understanding the Interface

The interface is divided into three tabs:

• "PRINTING DEVICES": This tab is used to view and manage individual physical printer devices connected to the system. It allows you to see details like the printer's name, type, network address, and active status.
• "PRINTING GROUPS": This tab allows you to create and manage logical groups of printers. Grouping printers can be useful for directing print jobs to specific sets of printers based on criteria like location, function, or priority.
• "PREPARATION CENTERS": This tab is used to manage preparation centers. While the exact functionality isn't fully shown in the screenshots, preparation centers likely represent physical areas or stations where items are prepared, and printing might be associated with these locations.
• + CREATE Button: Click this button to create new printing devices, groups, or preparation centers.
• Search Box: Use this box to search for specific printing devices, groups, or preparation centers.

1. Printing Devices

The "Printing Devices" section is your central hub for managing the physical printer hardware connected to your system.

• Purpose:
  1. View a list of all printers configured in the system.
  2. See key information about each printer, such as its name, model, network address (IP and MAC addresses), and whether it's currently active.
  3. Initiate the process of adding new printers.

• How to Use:
  1. Access Printers: Navigate to the "Printing Configuration" module.
  2. Select "PRINTING DEVICES": Click on the "PRINTING DEVICES" tab.
  3. View Printer List: The tab displays a table listing your printers.
  4. Information Displayed:
     • Title (alias): A user-defined name that makes it easy to identify the printer (e.g., "Kitchen Printer," "Receipt Printer").
     • Device Name: The manufacturer and model of the printer (e.g., "TM-T88VI").
     • MAC: The printer's unique hardware address on the network.
     • IP: The printer's address on the network, allowing your system to communicate with it.
     • Active: Indicates whether the printer is currently active and ready to receive print jobs (e.g., a red "X" might indicate "inactive").
  5. Search for a Printer: Use the search box to quickly find a specific printer in the list.
  6. Navigation: If you have many printers, use the pagination controls (page numbers, arrows) to navigate through the list.
