The Connections QR module simplifies the process of connecting devices to your Point of Sale (POS) system. By creating and managing connection QR codes, you can quickly and easily link devices, such as tablets, mobile phones, or other terminals, to your POS software. Importantly, the Location and ID of the QR code are automatically linked to the site or location where you are generating it.

Accessing the Module
- Sign in to the system with your credentials.
- Navigate to the “Devices” section and select "Connections QR".
Creating a New POS Device Connection QR Code
- Click "NEW": Click the orange "+ NEW" button located at the top right of the screen.
- Configure Access:
- Select the appropriate checkboxes to define the device's access and capabilities:
- Disabled: Check this box to prevent the device from connecting to the POS system.
- Master: Check this box to grant the device master control or administrative privileges within the POS system.
- CFS: Check this box if the device connection is related to a specific function or module (e.g., Customer Facing Screen).
- Support: Check this box if the device is designated for support or maintenance purposes.
- Generate QR Code: The system will automatically generate a QR code. The QR code encodes the necessary information for the device to connect to the POS system, including the site's Location and ID.
- Save: Click the green "SAVE" button at the bottom of the screen to save the new connection QR code.

Connecting a Device Using the QR Code
- Open POS Connection App: On the device you want to connect (e.g., tablet, mobile phone), open the POS connection application or feature.
- Initiate QR Code Scan: Within the POS connection app, select the option to scan a QR code.
- Scan the QR Code: Use the device's camera to scan the QR code displayed on the "Connections QR" screen.
- Device Connection: The POS connection app will process the scanned information, which now includes the site's Location and ID, to establish a connection with the POS system.
- Verification: The device should now be connected to the POS system and ready for use.
Managing Existing POS Device Connection QR Codes
- Locate Connection: Find the connection you want to manage (e.g., "gyMQRw").
- View Details: The connection details will be displayed:
- Connection: A unique identifier for the POS device connection (e.g., "gyMQRw").
- Location: The location associated with the connection (e.g., "50877579"). This is automatically linked to the site.
- ID: A unique identifier for the device (e.g., "gyMQRwOwpv9jpnWH!"). This is automatically linked to the site.
- Access Control: Checkboxes indicating the device's access permissions (Disabled, Master, CFS, Support).
- QR Code: The QR code image for this connection.
- Modify Access (if necessary):
- Adjust Access: Toggle the checkboxes to modify the device's access permissions. You cannot change the Location or ID directly.
